Q.   What are your qualifications and certifications?

A.   We are fully licensed by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs and the Nassau County Office of Consumer Affairs as a Home Improvement Contactor.  We are insured for both General Business Liability and Worker’s Compensation with multi-million dollar policies.  We are very well known and regarded not only the industry by other professionals, floor suppliers, and manufacturers, but also by the community where we have our offices.  We are members of local business organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau.  We even participate and contribute to social causes such as a recent $7000 flooring donation to Habitat For Humanity.

As a member of the National Wood Flooring Association we are on the forefront of the flooring industry.  We regularly attend conventions and seminars on all phases of hard wood flooring, not to mention the fact that we have twenty plus years of experience in dealing with all types of homeowner and commercial wood flooring needs. Q. How will you help insure that I will be happy with the work that I have done?

A. Our intention is for you to be satisfied and happy with our services. Therefore, we will walk you step by step through the procedures that are involved in the work that is to be performed.  We will answer any questions and allay any concerns you may have while the work is in progress.  You should feel confident that your choice in Cherry Valley Flooring will be a safe, reliable, and professional one.  As a member of the Better Business Bureau, we pledge to uphold the highest business standards and practices.  In addition, you have 3 DAYS TO CANCEL ANY WORK you contract with us from the day you sign our contract.  We stand behind all our work, no matter how large or small, or if you are a first time or repeat client.  You will always be treated with fairness, courtesy, and respect.


Q.   Won’t having my floors done take a long time and be a major inconvenience?

A.    Not necessarily.  It really depends on the work that is to be performed, but with today’s technology, certain water-based polyurethanes exist that are non-toxic, odor free and dry within just a few hours.  This allows us to come on-site and work around your schedule without interruption to your daily routine and without posing any health risks.  More traditional refinishing jobs may take 2-3 days, while custom work can take anywhere from 4-10 days, however, we also have advanced methods and materials that can allow us to stain your floors with deep, dark custom colors overnight with little or no odor or harmful fumes.  This is especially important for retail operations such as restaurants, bars, and clothing stores such as some of our past clients, Ralph Lauren Polo, Anthropologie, Gurka, Jericho Terrace, The Boathouse, and others.


Q.   How important is the price?

A.    Price is a function of what one can afford and the value of a given service. Bearing this in mind we charge very reasonable rates and provide the best quality service when we do the work.


Q.   Are there any hidden costs?

A.    Definitely not. We stand by the estimates we give in our Quotations. Our comprehensive computer generated quotes are each hand-typed and explain all aspects of each job in detail. They describe exactly the floor areas that will be worked on, the nature of the work, and the price for the total services. The estimate price will be honored for a period of ninety (90) days.


Q.   How much experience do you have?

A.   With over 30 years in business, we have had thousands of (often repeat) customers.  Many of them have been so happy that they have written letters praising our work and customer service.  Consequently, we have a long list of clients who have offered to act as references on our behalf.  We can arrange for you to speak directly with a prior customer and in some cases even visit and see the work we did for them.
